Dimensional Weight & Packaging

Cubic Volume

Definition

The three-dimensional space occupied by an item, calculated by multiplying length, width, and height.

In practical terms

Cubic volume is used for capacity planning, dimensional-weight calculations, container utilization, and storage planning. Units must remain consistent throughout the calculation.

Example

A carton measuring 60 cm by 40 cm by 30 cm has a cubic volume of 72,000 cubic centimetres.
