Definition
The process of sending an undeliverable or refused item back toward the original sender.
In practical terms
A return can result from an invalid address, repeated unsuccessful delivery, refusal, missing documentation, or an unclaimed item. Return transit and tracking may differ from the outbound movement.
Example
A parcel is returned to the merchant after the recipient moves without providing a new address.
