Dimensional Weight & Packaging

Length and Girth

Definition

A package-size measurement combining the longest side with the distance around the other two dimensions.

In practical terms

Length and girth is commonly used to evaluate whether a parcel fits a service size limit. Girth is generally twice the width plus twice the height, with the longest dimension treated as length.

Example

A long box is checked by adding its length to twice its width and twice its height.
