Delivered at Place (DAP)
Definition
An Incoterms rule under which the seller arranges delivery to a named destination, ready for unloading, while the buyer handles import clearance.
In practical terms
The named place must be precise because it marks delivery and risk transfer. Import duties, taxes, and customs procedures generally remain with the buyer.
Example
The seller arranges transportation to the buyers warehouse, while the buyer completes destination import clearance.
